Ophir Women

A chilly Sunday marked the beginning of the second half of the season, with Ophir facing off against Portadown. Despite the cold conditions, the team showed great determination and spirit throughout the match.

Ophir got off to a strong start, taking the lead just before halftime with a fantastic try from Hannah Rodgers, expertly converted by Holly Brookes. The halftime score stood at 7-5 in Ophir's favour.

In the second half, Portadown proved to be well-drilled and came back fighting. Despite Ophir's strong defensive efforts, Portadown managed to edge ahead, bringing the final score to 7-12.

There were plenty of positives to take from the match, with the team showing resilience and skill, especially in defence. Congratulations to Alana and Jenni on earning their first caps for Ophir – an exciting milestone for both players!
